Work#1 "Cross-stitched Ukraine, murdered, destroyed, tortured. As if it was stitched by the death itself. The bitter irony lies in the fact that cross-stitching belongs to one of the Ukrainian traditions, and black - one of the fundamental colors of the Ukrainian embroidery - is the color of grief. We have intentionally deviated from the historical accuracy of the Ukrainian borders in 1933 in order to make the territory of the country more familiar to the contemporary audience".
Work#2 "The child's laugh, preaching of parents, old-men grumbling – everything has quieted down.… Instead of the family members we find crosses as a reminder of the horrible tragedy of slaughtering the Ukrainian family".
Work#3 "There's nothing to serve on the table. There is no one to serve to. No one to serve for. The cross-broken plate lying on the newly dug up ground is a symbol of the starvation death".
