On January 23, 2009 in Athens was held one of the most important annual events in the field of advertising - the ceremony EPICA AWARDS 2008.

The EPICA Awards begins its countdown from 1986 and today it is the most prestigious and one of the most famous festivals of advertising in Europe. The jury of the festival is formed with the specialists of 34 leading advertising publications from 27 countries.

Unique fact about the awards is that the jury does not include any advertisers or producers of advertising.

EPICA AWARDS ceremony is held each year in one of the European capitals. Previous ceremonies were held in Brussels, Amsterdam, London, Zurich, Istanbul, Stockholm, Helsinki, Warsaw, Melanie, and other capitals. This year's ceremony was held in Athens.

It was for first in the history of EPICA AWARDS that Ukraine won the Gold award.

As the best work in the category "Publications" the jury recognized the Calendar - matches created by the Ukrainian creative agency – Yurko Gutsulyak graphic design studio

The work of Yurko Gutsulyak graphic design studio will be transferred to the permanent collection of the “Museum of Advertising” (Musee de la Publicite) in the Louvre in Paris and will be published in a selection of works in the EPICA BOOK. Each work of this catalogue is a model of the highest European standard.
