15th International Advertising Festival Golden Drum, the most magnificent annual event in the New Europe world of advertising, is going to welcome its participants and guests in the picturesque city of Portorož, Slovenia on 5-9 October 2009.
Golden Drum belongs to the group of few chosen events that carry international importance and recognition because of its outstanding program, which annually hosts eminent experts in the fields of advertising, design, public relations and media.
Yurko Gutsulyak was honoured to receive an invitation from the festival organizers to take part in the work of the competent international designers’ jury.
At first, the designers’ jury is going to judge the work of the “Birdwatching” Poster Award initiated by the city mayor of Piran, Slovenia.
Participants of the contest are to create a poster – invitation to Portorož, the host city of Golden Drum Festival. The poster should correspond the subject of the contest and show “the primeval peace of pure nature and lost beauty of paradise”. The authors of three best posters will receive two full registrations for the Golden Drum Festival and the one whose poster will be recognized the best will receive an award of 5 000 EUR.
Basic mission of the designers’ jury is judging the works submitted by the festival participants within the nomination “Design & Art Direction”.
This group includes the following categories: corporate and brand publishing for trademarks, corporate identity, label and packaging, illustrations and photo, and direct marketing.
